Project Description:
Molchan Marine Sciences co-authored a report with Northwest Geosciences regarding the feasibility of developing the port of Kivalina, Alaska, located in the Chuckchi Sea. MMS interpreted side-scan sonar, underwater photo imagery, sub-bottom profiling data, and collected historical geophysical data. Part of side scan sonar data interpretation was to determine the bio-habitat of the underwater environment.This data and information was synthesized into a marine geophysical report outlining the undersea environment for the offshore environment.
