Project Description:
Molchan Marine Sciences conducted integrated vulnerability assessments, ship security assessments, and port facility security assessments worldwide for multiple ship types, companies and associated facilities including: tankers, bulk carriers, passenger vessels, container ships and Military Sealift Command ships. Molchan Marine Sciences possesses the experience of an anti-terrorism force protection officer for Military Sealift Command and has dealt with the emerging threat throughout the Iraqi conflict. Molchan Marine Sciences provides ship security management, threat intelligence information processes, and consequence management in addition to writing up the assessments and providing training to the vessel owner operators. As a part of the assessment, physical security emphasis included waterborne / aerial attack, port services, mail handling, patrols and communication, restricted areas, ships electronic security systems, lighting, guard services, firearms, Automated Identification Systems, and visitor control. Training of international crews to prevent and respond to maritime security is also included in the assessment process.
